Job Summary: This position will assist in multiple facets of human resources (recruitment, onboarding/offboarding employees, employee development, benefit administration, leave management and compliance) supporting the entire employee life cycle, fostering positive employee relations and company culture.
Mount Olivet Rolling Acres - MORA – is a diverse and inclusive nonprofit has supported adults, seniors and children with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs as well as age-related and chronic medical conditions for over 50 years in the Twin Cities metro.
MORA provides an array of services: Adult Day Services, Contracted Case Management, Community Supports, over 30 Residential Homes, Respite, Therapeutic Recreation, Training for Guardians & Families, and a Discover Summer Daytime Programming for Youth with Disabilities. Our Metro Crisis Coordination Program (MCCP) offers a safety net of crucial and cost-effective services for adults and children.
Hourly Pay Rate: $25.00-$28.00 DOQ

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- manages employment status updates and understands payroll procedures
- assists with employee benefits while ensuring accuracy of benefit payroll deductions and benefit carrier invoices
- work closely with payroll department in employee records and management
- maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS system.
- assembles and analyzes employee statistics
- manages the worker compensation claims, records and holds the role of Safety Committees Chair
- organizes and maintains employee records, benefit information, EEOC records, OSHA records
- assists in orienting new employees
- assists with facilitation of employee relations
- assist in recruiting, reviews, resumes, selects qualified candidates, and conducts phone interviews with candidates
- assists with employee recognition events
- assists FMLA, PFML and personal leaves of absence ensuring compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations
- assist with annual benefit enrollment, track eligibility and enrollment for all employees
- contribute to HR initiatives that improve internal processes and policies
- operate with a high level of discretion, integrity and professionalism when managing sensitive information.
- works harmoniously with and shows respect for employees, supervisors, vendors and clients
- performs other duties as assigned
- Minimum of associate’s degree or equivalent experience (strongly preferred)or currently enrolled in related field
- 2-5 years of human resources prior experience including onboarding, employee engagement, and employee relations
- Proficient computer use, working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Working knowledge of HRIS systems and payroll platforms such as ADP (preferred)
- strong communications, organizational, and people skills
- High attention to detail
Required Qualifications:
- Must pass Department of Human Services background check and maintain “qualified” status
- Must not be excluded from working in government health programs by the Office Of Inspector General
- Must be able to successfully complete company’s physical job demands document
- If using own vehicle for company business, must have a current valid driver’s license and must have insurance as required by state law.
