Job Summary:   Provide a safe facility and grounds for clients to live and staff to work.  Promptly respond to work orders for repairs, adaptations, client needs and preventative maintenance.  Assist and work with co-workers on projects.

Mount Olivet Rolling Acres – MORA – is a diverse and inclusive nonprofit that has supported adults, seniors and children with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs as well as age-related and chronic medical conditions for over 50 years in the Twin Cities metro.

MORA provides an array of services: Adult Day Services, Contracted Case Management, Community Supports, over 30 Residential Homes, Respite, Therapeutic Recreation, Training for Guardians & Families, and a Discover Summer Daytime Programming for Youth with Disabilities. Our Metro Crisis Coordination Program (MCCP) offers a safety net of crucial and cost-effective services for adults and children.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
Location: Maintenance shop is located in Victoria, MN, primary oversight locations for this position will include but not limited to Andover, Richfield, and Bloomington.

Hourly Pay Rate:  
 $22.00-$25.00      
    

Key Duties and Responsibilities:   

  •  Complete all assigned maintenance checklists accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate effectively with Directors and other leadership when support is needed.
  • Train staff in maintenance-related skills when appropriate.
  • Maintain all buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
  • Conduct interior and exterior painting as required.
  • Perform drywall patching and minor repairs as needed.
  • Complete special projects assigned by leadership.
  • Troubleshoot issues and determine the most cost‑effective and efficient repair solutions.
  • Seek information, guidance, or approvals from appropriate sources when necessary.
  • Meet with supervisor as needed to review project status and upcoming priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot a wide range of maintenance and equipment issues
  • Work cooperatively and respectfully with co‑workers, contributing to a positive and professional work environment.
  • Work harmoniously with and shows respect for employees, supervisors, vendors and clients
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Will be required to respond to emergency repair calls after hours, which may include weekends
  • At times this position will require working early, staying late, or both during the scheduled work week to complete maintenance projects or assist with special events
  • Participate in the on‑call maintenance phone rotation as assigned
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience in maintenance areas such as windows, doors, molding, walls, groundskeeping, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, painting, carpentry, use of power tools and operating maintenance equipment.

Required Qualifications:
  • must pass Department of Human Services background check and maintain “qualified” status
  • must not be excluded from working in government health programs by the Office of Inspector General
  • must be able to successfully complete company’s physical job demands
  • If using own vehicle for company business, you must have a current valid driver’s license and must have insurance as required by state law.
